Anderson Family Scholarship Supports Spelman Choral Students

This year, the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Glee Club has the pleasure of announcing that The Edward D. Anderson Choral Annual Scholarship has been established by Dr. Donald Anderson in honor of his father Edward ‘Ed’ Anderson.

, who devoted his life to furthering choral music, earned his masters of music degree from  Michigan State University and soon after became the institution's director of choral activities, a position he maintained for 34 years. He passed away in 2014, just two weeks shy of his 96th birthday.

Beginning in January 2022, the Edward D. Anderson Choral Annual Scholarship will support two first-year, sophomore, or junior students a semester. The selected students must have been members of the Spelman Glee Club for one (1) fiscal year.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ scholarships are awarded through the Office of Financial Aid. Interested applicants must contact the Office of Financial Aid at 404-270-5222.
